Lead Design Researcher at IBM
In an effort to balance IBM’s Research portfolio with focus on near-term impact, ETX (Emerging Technology Experiences) team is tasked with partnering with IBM scientists and labs to help accelerate and strategize the development of new products and services. ETX is an R&D team within IBM Research where UX designers, UX researchers, Product Managers and Developers partner with research labs to ensure new products are designed around users needs and are segmented before design, development and launch utilizing Lean UX Research methodologies.
I currently am the Lead Design Researcher at ETX and during the past few months I have partnered with IBM’s Polymer labs:
To understand current user’s Journey and needs when discovering novel materials.
To run studies to ensure that our digital products are designed around validated user needs.
To run usability studies to inform the product roadmap
Some of the methods Ive been using at IBM:
Stakeholder Interviews, Internal and external Lab walkthroughs, Interviews, Concept testing, Journey mapping, co-creation sessions, Surveys, Usability studies
